These are turkey vultures, judging by the pale lower edge of the wings that is visible on the third bird from the left. Black vultures have all-black wings below except for some pale silvery feathers at the very tips of the wings, whereas turkey vultures have mostly dark wings with a contrasting, light grey lower edge that runs the length of the wings.

I'd assume those are turkey vultures, since I haven't seen black vultures in the area (that I know of).
Were they in this tree or this one? I'm guessing the latter.
