Halloween. Paid the real estate tax for my simple frame home. The real estate tax bite is huge. Yearly I spend more on real estate tax than I do for food.

This is the fee for living in the "new Aspen". Virginia Starkes built this house 116 years ago. The real estate tax now is 629 times as high as it was then.
I am fortunate to have a roof over my head.
It's all relative, Bill. You are skin and bones. If you were padded like me, it wouldn't seem some out of proportion!
