This is a great photo of my favorite little chapel-- which happens to be in my hometown. How did you find it, being from Virginia and all? Are you a former Westporter?!
hey tracy- the south coast is a well kept secret, no sign with road names, no parking. My sister married a CT yankee and lives in Westport now. I visit my sister, bike past the chapel. I wonder if the Acoaxet Indians would be ok with the chapel's use of their name?
Thanks for the info. I'm glad you enjoy our little town! That part of Westport used to be (and still is, by some) called Acoaxet, named by the Indians. So that's how the chapel got its name. I'm hoping they don't mind!
Thanks for the info. I'm glad you enjoy our town when you visit your sister, and I hope she's enjoying it, too! Westport, particularly that area, used to be called Acoaxet after (or by?) the Indians, so that's where the chapel got its name.

One of your finest church photos. Almost makes me want to reconsider.
