This is Emma in July, but by August Emma was gone.
August 27, Helen was around, late summer in Virginia, 95 degrees, humid, we went for a bicycle ride.
The Northern Neck of Virginia is a peninsula defined by the Rappahannock and Potomac Rivers. It is not serviced by an interstate or a WalMart. Those blessed conditions will change tomorrow but today it is a beautiful place.
The Northern Neck is loaded with jellyfish, mosquitoes, snakes, stingrays, briars, vines and hydrophilic mud. Not a good place to visit! Stay away! No bridge here, you have to wait. No movie theater. Your cellphone wont work. Unless you have a satellite radio forget NPR.
