We envision time as linear.

I have a photo file that stretches back to when I was fifteen.

The file is a tightrope, a high wire.

The are multiple ways to fall. One involves falling into the wire, being mesmerized by potatoes, looking too deeply at times and people gone by.

Jimi Hendrix sang “I don’t live today.”

But everyone else does.

I can’t talk to people in the past.

The past doesn’t sustain.

Watching the watch, mistakes were made.
