photographic life

Bill Allard in the crowd
June 7, 8 and 9 Charlottesville was awash with photographers. It was wonderful. Singular experience to be in a room with thousands of people, sitting still, looking at images. For three days, the harvest of observation took center stage. Further, the observers were observed. A role reversal. Celebration of images, recognition of image makers.
Observation makes for a lonely life.
