I like non profits. They do good work. Housing, heating, feeding, inoculating.
They contact me and ask to use photos for free. How can I refuse? I don't.
Not a good business plan.

Always the balance between doing well and doing good. I, agnostic that I am, somehow believe in the karmic principle that what goes around comes around. Do as much good as you can, and somehow there's a return, although there's no telling how that "return" may manifest itself.
