anesthetized

Sophia is between worlds today, induced sleep, breathing dreamweaver gas, sevoflourane? Minor surgery is never minor.

leylandii

There is nothing wrong with a Leyland Cypress. But, when this tree appears on a site plan, City officials groan. Leylands are victims of their own success. They are the first choice tree for hiding something ugly in a hurry.

Gallus gallus in the house

The chicken is a type of domesticated fowl, believed to be descended from the wild Indian and south-east Asian Red Junglefowl.
The chicken is one of the most common and wide-spread domestic animals. With a population of more than 24 billion in 2003,there are more chickens in the world than any other bird. Humans keep chickens primarily as a source of food, from both their meat and their eggs.--Wikipedia

fowl at large

CHO Municode Sec. 4-8. Fowl at large.
It shall be unlawful for any person to permit any chickens, ducks, geese, pigeons or other fowl belonging to him to go at large in the city; except, that homing pigeons may be released for return to their cote without violating this section.

Article in the WaPo today about a pitbull, that same story. Unprovoked dog puts teeth to human.
Should legislation be considered? You can't legislate against a type of dog?
I wonder who the chickens offended?

metrics

Plow a straight line, plant a field of corn, play banjo, lift a tree, shoot a penny at fifty paces. Measures of a man. When accomplishment has passed, when the season of need arrives, what then is the measure?

I dreamed a different future than the present in the past. Dreamed of a great feast. The actual gathering, few of the dreamed invitees remained alive, and of those alive, fewer still were invited.
